Hi Guscha, did Dave give any more input on this topic perhaps of the stamped cowl number on the '28?

Cheers,
Emil.

Home again! Great cruise, especially for those with a keen interest in maritime history, especially transatlantic travel. A visit to the British Auto Museum (Lord Montagu collection) at Beaulieu (45 mins from Southampton) was a highlight, made even better by the opportunity to meet "traumjaegercat" and his lovely wife for a couple of hours.

The 6th series (1929) was the first year to use thief-proof or body serial numbers (embossed #s on cowl), so a 4th series car should not have one.
