Does anyone have a recommendation for a company you've used for restoring your steering wheel? I'm told the best option is to locate someone who will recast the wheel, rather than patch the existing material. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Depending on age and condition as well as the level of restoration sought, you might be well advised to check with used parts people......

I shipped off my old wheel and a sample of my dash plastic from Yeaterday's Radio and they took it from there. While I was waiting for it to return a Packard friend of mine dropped by my house just to show me his "new" steering wheel. It was off-white and done by J.B. Donaldson too. To me the color was rich and deep and looked like real ivory.

I got my wheel back a few days later and got the same great result. For me, a recast wheel is the whay to go - won't wear off like paint.

As always, some idea of price is appreciated.....

Had to go and look it up. $475 in 2001.

But, it is truly Packard quality.
