I was wondering the script plate on the trunk lid are the lettering for PACKARD suppose to be painted in with red or black or just plan? I have looked at pictures and I can't tell.

Perhaps some of the early posters will recall this discussion of a few years ago and remember the name or point to the thread--either here or AACA. IIRC, there were several opinions and I don't think it was conclusively resolved. Even the few showings in 51-2 brochures seemed to have red on one and black on another.

Ok, So I guess I could go with either . I didn't want to do the wrong thing. I think I will go with Red. Should stand out better against Black.

FWIW my 51 200 had red letters on the trunk. That is what I am going with too.

It is not a bright red, more on the maroon side.
