HA HA It's amazing what you can do with a computer on April Fool's Day. My dad think's it's a British car (the license plate). am I right?

Sirrah!

You have obviously stolen your concept for these new Packards from the one and only example of the 1956 Patrician Twelve Prototype (attached) that was kept under wraps during the last days in the bunker at East Grand, but has secretly been in my possession for some time now.

I demand you surrender these cheap knock-offs to me at once - and then say that your sorry, with sugar on it, and pinkie swear that this will never happen again!

...boy I feel silly, here I am thinking that you were pulling the April 1st on me, but you were serious! (All it takes is a good computer artist)
Nice work! What's the grill look like? So are you hoping to go in to production or is this a hobby (What's the next step)? Have you been here?http://www.packardmotorcar.com/
Sorry

Conn: It was an April Fools joke. There is a story behind the pictures that I posted. I had nothing to with any of the pictures, they were published in National Packard car club publication a few years ago. I will explain the whole thing to you on Tuesday night

Conn -

Don't feel stupid about this. Plenty of people in the hobby were unwittingly taken in by these pictures when they were published in an article that was presented as a factual account back in 2002 and by not just one, but TWO clubs. Worse yet, it wasn't even April Fool's day, and the author had been honored as guest speaker at more than one National meet, with all expenses paid, too.

Shortly after those images were first published, I - a rank amateur and with nothing more than a piece of software that cost less than $99 (US) - created the quick-n-dirty image of the 1956 Patrician Twelve just to show what was possible - phakery, that is.

I'll let John tell you the full story.

If you liked those previous pix, then you'll luv the '56 Caribbean Hardtop Limousine. This 9-passenger vehicle sports a none-of-a-kind Twin-Traction tandem rear axle with Twin-Torsion-Level-Aire suspension. With an overall length of just under 24 feet, I can honestly say that this is the longest Packard never built.
