Do NOT be overly aggressive cleaning the splines on the wheel. In fact, do not be aggressive at all...this pot metal hub is unusually soft. Many of these wheels have been "keyed" for safety or necessity...

I do have a question concerning the document that you sent. Did it come from the Packard Proving Grounds archives? I've looked at the information stored on this web site and could not locate it. So, from where did you get this which might then give me another source when I'm looking for something.

The information is from Service Letter Vol. 10 No. 7 dated April1, 1936 and can be found on this site under Service Letters on the Home page.
