Great tips! I only needed to loosen the driver's wiper tower and was able to slide the center trim sideways and then lift it out. All came apart rather easily, other than I discovered no matter how much you want a 5/16" nut driver to fit on an 11/32" nut, it just doesn't. LOL

Windshield is out and going to do a little clean up, but pretty impressed by the lack of corrosion.
The gasket is in good shape, but not as soft as it could be. Any tips for conditioning it before installation? I have this trim restorer?? Attach file: 20231006_112209_resized.jpg (230.92 KB) 20231006_113705_resized.jpg (192.99 KB) 20231006_113756_resized.jpg (156.38 KB)

PB Blaster penetrating lubricant has been found to be a good rubber weather stripping softener. I used it on the weather stripping around front door vent windows and it worked amazingly well.

The product I use on the rubber roof seals of our VW EOS retractable hardtop is great and I would recommend it for your purpose if it came in some kind of a spray which it may very well. As a stick as I have it would be difficult to apply to such a large piece but maybe the same company makes a spray version. It’s on Amazon, made in Germany, and is called Gummi Pflege Stift which means simply rubber care stick.

Liqu Moly has a gummi plege in a spray, but takes a couple of weeks to get, so I'll get the stick so I can keep my project going. If I works well, which it has pretty good reviews, I'll be doing all my car's seals. Attach file: gummi-pflege.JPG (34.57 KB)

I was able to put a little heat to the 1969 safety inspection sticker on my old windshield and should be able to put it on the new windshield.
I may get too excited about this kind so of stuff, but once these things are gone, they are gone.
