So, while it isn't entirely correct for the car, my story is the little old lady who bought the car in 1940 wanted one of those "bird thangs" and the dealer obliged her :)

So, the wife is happy.........

Oh-oh. I think it's time to get out of the sand box.

The American Arrow birds are very nice. I would have no problem putting one of those on my car, except that I'm not ready to dish out the $350 right now.
