Even with the (numerically) highest rear axle ratio available from the hearse/commercial line of 4.7, that little six must have really been working to carry a full load of passengers and baggage.

Knowing where these pictures are from, even if people were in a hurry, they weren't going to get there fast on the roads available. I am sure a six or the small eight would have done all that was possible.

DAF: Interesting observation.....my guess is the bumpers were often swapped at purchase time due to all the roadkill here. Since I am a "transplant", I'll let other Australians take a guess.On one hour and a half drive from Canberra (where I used to live) towards the coast, I counted eight dead kangaroos one day on the road. "Defensive driving" I suppose.
