Hi DAF, I wondered if it was easy to get to the car or are you back in Texas? I can wait if it's easier for you to get to it later.

Steve, I will be with the car on the 18/19th in upstate NY. I will be loading a bunch of stuff for Hershey and thought that would be easiest for both of us. Any chance you know someone who could pick it up in Hershey?

Yes. Met with the auctioneer last weekend. The auction planning is underway and should be heavily advertized starting next week. November timetable with limited on-site viewing options. I have sold about a dozen cars privately, some to forum members, thank you. I cannot sell 250 cars. An auction is the only way. I will update with a link to the auction when the advertizing starts, as the baton has passed. There are many many interesting cars, Hudson/Packard V8, Caribbeans galore, 41's of nearly every variety, etc. Thank you to all for interest...big job.

Hello fellow Packard folks... has anyone heard any specific details about the auction of these cars? Any info would be greatly appreciated - thanks all.

There is a thread on the Cadillac LaSalle Club forum on this. Collar City Auctions is handling. So far links do not work and no pictures. Supposed to start on the 5th and run until the 22nd. You would think they'd get some pictures going. Really hope some good pictures are taken.. really curious... would love to bid too but then I'd get divorced most likely.

Yeah, the details of this are held closer to the vest than a top secret military project. Likely, the only bidder will be the local scrapper.

After reading the post on the CLC yesterday I tried finding details.. I did find a YouTube video from the auction house that was brief and showed a Caribbean or two. I can't find it now (last night it was after a couple glasses of Pinot). Should be some screaming deals.. shame, I hate to speak ill of the auction house but looking like Fisher Price My First Auto Auction.
