Here's the Eaton Weatherhead Brass Fittings master catalog:

Eaton Brass Products Master Catalog

All the relevant tees are (unfortunately) at 90-degree angles and on page 40. Typically NAPA will cross-reference the EATON number to their own.

Plews-Edelman is also a good source. They have an online catalog that is searchable, but if you just look for "inverted flare fittings" you won't find all of them. You have to put "inverted flare tee" in the search box. I didn't find any fittings at a weird angle like that from Plews-Edelman either.

Jerome,

Thanks for the info! That really helps, finding their whole catalog. I'll be able to use it in the future.

For all, it appears that early CJs used an identical fitting. Will report back in a few days when my new fitting shows up.

I couldn't definitely make a 90 degree fitting work too.

New to the site. This message may not be ok; but, I'm looking for a lower door hinge for a 1937 2 door.

Hey Don - welcome aboard! I can't help you, no spares, but if you post what you need in the "Parts Wanted" section, you will likely have more luck.

The CJ-2A fitting worked, except I had to put bushings in to get to the proper brake line size.

Got the car all back together, and went for a test drive, and I can only say WOW!

I always thought the brakes felt pretty good. Turns out, after a full sorting and major adjustment, they feel GREAT! The pedal is firmer, less travel, and much more effective brake action. I mashed the pedal in a local parking lot at about 20 mph just to stress test the system, and it instantly locked both front wheels up. Very happy with how everything turned out.

Just as an update - put about 70 miles on the car last weekend with my son riding shotgun, and everything was smooth sailing. Really glad I sorted the system!

You’ll get there soon! You’re doing it the right way, so it should be more reliable once you get it in the road. See you at Hershey!

I don’t have a battery disconnect switch installed yet, but I did drive about 150 miles this weekend. Happy with how the car is sorted. Biggest concerns right now are an intermittent exhaust leak that I can’t pin down, rattle from the wired open heat riser, and rattle from the running board trim. Trying to enjoy the recent drop in temperature down here, before I have to go out to sea again.
