...Also a bit hard to see definitively but the wheels look like Eight & Super Eight wheels (no double-rolled rim)...

The rims you've said? Here you are.

...Thanks for posting - any change of getting the numbers from it?

It's car # 101 at the L.U.C Chopard Classic Weekend Rally in Moscow 2010. I'll search for the list of participants, one cannot rule out the possibility to know an attendee.

BTW That's the first time that I see such a dashboard.

Gee - you wish you had a better view and, bingo, 5 minutes later you have it. Not a Twelve wheel. Super Eight it is.

Looks like a standard 34 dashboard. Factory radio no less! Glove box on each side, power brake boost selector between the left glove box and the instrument cluster. There is something just above the brake selector that doesn't belong there, perhaps a switch of some sort. Key switch in about the same position on the right. The instrument cluster is only slightly different than 1933 especially in terms of accomodating the radio. Interesting detail is that the metal finish treatment of the instrument backboard was different for each model.

Dave, you'll find a PM in your inbox.

That's again the dashboard, now with 2x magnification. I'll never tire of looking at detailed mechanical or electromechanical devices.
Whenever possible to fathom the function of a workmanlike manufactured device or machine without beeing a rocket scientist then it attracts (at least my) interest.

Button just below and to the right of the speedometer (large instrument on the left) is the starter button. On the right, just below and to the left of the clock is the cigar lighter, a so-called "cat's eye" lighter.

I see and I know for three weeks what a cat's eye lighter is.

Same event, same town, same source and this time a model 902. I think it should be a Standard Eight Roadster Coupe. "The cars were introduced with the four-speed transmission, but late in the model run a three-speed with synchromesh and vacuum clutch was fitted"* - 1932!
That car and the 1934 Roadster Coupe look like brother and sister.

Dave, even if the front bumper is correct I'll show you the rims to count the number of cylinders.

Another pic shows the box of this nice painted car. Today I found a website that reported on the starting field and contains a lot of photographs. One of them proves, that the below shown box isn't black but red.

BTW Even a golden Golden Hawk was in on it. On that day in Moscow the Packard brand was alive.
