Been a long time since I looked at a pump closeup but here is a photo from the 46-50 manual. I think the dot at the end of the arrow is the punch mark.

Not sure what this part is for. Found it in an unopened bag.

Part # 63-2608812, Q.R.S. 45 (Quality Rubber Supply? Couldn't find on google search) is marked on the rubber cone.

It has a rubber cone/seal/fitting, a cotter pin. a castle nut, and a zerk fitting.

While everything is accessible, I'd like to use it if needed.

The pen is not in the bag. Just there for relative size.

Wow, that was fast. O yes!
Thanks for the hint. I dug though some other stuff and I found a couple of tie rod ends and one bag was opened and these parts were missing. Thanks much. Gee 2 new tired ends.

On the clevis pin to hold the pilot spring, the hole on our bell housing is 7/32nds, so the 3/16th pin from McMaster was too sloppy. John drilled it for a common 1/4" pin you can cut to desired length, and now it's snug and better yet, installed.

Painting is finished and front support installed with new rubber so the water pump doesn't have to hold up the engine anymore.

I know you guys have never seen a Packard 356 before, but I'm excited. Except at the factory, I think this is the best it's ever been.

Looking good and hope it runs as good as it looks. The stock bellhousing hole was for a 3/16 pin as per clevis pin specs in the utility section of both parts manuals so I suspect the person that installed the thread and nut arrangement drilled it up to the 7/32 size. Fortunately the next size pin was an easy fix.
