Stop at friends house. Listened. Then drove 400 home and parked it. Trans out. Converter looks good. Pulling on input shaft. Lot of play. And makes sound I heard. Looking in book. Snap ring. For there is a bakelite washer. So. That's what I'm thinking let go. Will know when I get high range clutch out. Reactor shaft feels good. Loose band. Playing around with the lever I get the noise i heard. Taper is to let oil out . or whatever the whole in valve is for. 	'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted. '55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.
