need a photo of a data plate

I'm gettng my 51 200 ready to repaint and in cleaning up the door jambs, noted that the old data plate has been painted over. I've seen some replica data plates on ebay, but I need to know what the original looks like. Can someone post a photo of what the non-painted version looks like? thanks

The data plate reads 2492- I(I think it's a I) 8926. The first number means a 200 Touring Sedan. What does the second numbers mean?

I believe it means its the 7,926 car built in that model ie: they started at 1000 with 1001 being the first.

Thanks - the Ebay seller has a 40 style data plate listed as a 51. Anyone have an idea where to find a replica?

Pulfer and Williams has the data plate. Click on Packard and it is there.

I sell these plates for $25.00 each plus $2.50 shipping in the contiguous 48 US States for the 1951, 1952 and 1953 Packards, (1954 do not use these along with 55-56 as Pufer and Williams website suggests) mine have crosshairs where you drill your own holes, this can come in handy where the original Packard plates were approx +/- 1/32 of an inch off sometimes.... they are exact to factory original, i accept paypal or check,

the ebay vendor on this same plate is 99.00 plus 8.00 shipping as described here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Serial-Plates-Packard-/221146013745?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337d546031&vxp=mtr

I believe Pufer and Williams is $40.00?

thanks, Vance George

I got the data plate from CaribbeanDude yesterday. It is a beautiful copy and will go on the car as soon as I get it repainted. I'd recommend this to anyone needing a new data plate for the 51-54 series.

Here's a photo of the replica plate. The plate is aluminum, the gold color is due to the lighting in the room. All I need now is to repaint the car!
