For what it's worth, my 68 404 Peugeot had a slant four cylinder hemi engine. 1600 cc with 85 horses that would let the car cruise at 95 mph all day long. Did that for 21 years until I sold it for twice what I bought it for new....

And I had a 63 Willys Wagonner 4WD for a while in 73-74. Inline 6 SOHC with "spherical" combustion chamber and domed pistons. Had a three on the tree,ran well and got some pretty good mileage. Never got it up to 95 though.

Yeah, I know it.

Developed by A.C. Sampietro at Willys called the Toronado 6.
Used in Jeep Wagoneers until '69 and in the US Army M715.
Mr. Sampietro worked with Donald Healey.

Very nice up to date engine.

In my country is one up for sale. Its a
'63 Wagoneer Gladiator
(ex fire brigade car) for about 10 grand.
