My personal favorite is Packard Blue. Deep dark blue with a touch of metallic. Packard Maroon is also very dressy. Both of these colors are somewhat formal, which I think is in keeping with the sedan body style. I don't think Packard offered the Chinese Red in 37, but it was available in 38 and is a really bright color.

The Ivory is also a striking color for the shorter 110 sedan. What I remember is that most of the 110's tended to be black, so almost any other color would be striking. I'd suggest that you get one of the color chip brochures on Ebay, and then scan it so we would have a 37 version!

Mike, FWIW my opinion is that the sedans with this body style looked particularly clumsy and awkward when two-toned, probably why Packard refrained from doing so. As of the other day there were 2 on eBay which were two-toned and at best, they were homely. I'd stick to a single color and make my color choice from the colors the same as or very close to those that Packard originally offered; the professionals that chose the OEM colors knew their business. Beyond that, darker colors for closed cars and lighter colors for sportier body styles would be my recommendation.

Among my favorites for sedans, Packard Maroon, Indian Maroon, Almond Green, Hickory Leaf Green. I believe the pinstripe on junior cars was pretty limited and basic but done with a proper color it can add a lot to the elegance if not overdone. You can get the pinstripe colors from the Packard paint charts; vermillion is a good choice for maroons, and bronze for the dark green colors.

Mike,

I tend to side with O-D while not wishing to offend any of the Bi-colour owners out there this model looks best as a solid colour vehicle. It was marketed as the car for the average guy, the person who did not have the money for all the extras, but did want to show everyone on the block that he had a bit more money than they maybe thought he had.

It's a Packard, that says enough to turn heads, painting it like a circus wagon will turn heads, but IMO understated beauty is likely what you are looking for.

I'm, biased (see my avatar), but I would suggest Packard Maroon or Indian Maroon, both are such rich colours and will stand out from the many black and dark blue cars of all makes at any cruise night or show.
