I have a 1928 Split Rim Disc Wheel. I have been told is has a center stem and others have told me it has a offset stem.

I believe it is an offset but want to confirm.

Thanks

You are correct, this is an offset stem is set off to the side of the tube, a center stem is set in the middle of the tube, please see the link with a pic of a center stem tube. I believe all Packards from perhaps 1924 onwards used offset stem tubes.

Thank you.

I ordered the tube which should be here next week.

I also found a repair shop that can remove the widow maker insert and install the new tube.

I appreciate your guidance.
