Interior metal parts paint color 1940
I'm restoring a 1940 conv sedan 1803. The conv top rails were painted the same color as the steering column, a brown color. It was used in all the 40s. The auto paint stores can't get a reading on curved parts like the steering column (which I hauled in there) so we ended up guessing. Does anyone have the x-ref for this color? I couldn't find a name for in in my Parts List or Jim Hollingsworth book on 1940s.

In 1952 the 300 was available a two tone dark green on top of light green. I found the following paint chip pdf and another rebuild that is similar in color.

Dark Green: DAL-41164-DQE GALLANT GREEN POLY
Light Green: DAL-41165-DQE ASPEN GREEN
