Going to give this a try. Flexane is well over a 100 bucks.

This.. under 50. And it's shore 80.

A 1 to 1 mix. A lot easier than flexane. .

For axle bushings. .

This Enduro stuff looks like smooth on .. (it's a Green) product. 7 day curing time. De mold 2 hrs.

But seems firm.. smooth on gave up when tightening.

Euro makes a lot..still have more.

Want to make the round ones. But forgot where I put the mold.

80 ml is what mold holds. I mix about 90 ml ..

Pictures black flexane

Yellow/white Enduro.

Upper left got stuck in mold. This mold release I bought. Wasn't for metal.

Still using synlube 1000 my dad bought in the 80s

Still around but name change. Isolube 1000

2 flexane. I got mix off on left of picture

Bushings middle to right are good ones.

Went easier than I thought.

But shore 94 is to stiff.. they are like rocks.. and at this time think was my squeak.

Enduro looks OK so far.

Picture 1. Left and right. Shore 94 flexane. Year or so ..

Picture 2 Enduro.

The uppers still look good. Going on 10 years.

Going art decco.

And box of bushings going to Ross. Making 2 more 56's.

Think I'll have enough. With this container of polyurethane.

Thrn going to try their soft polyurethane. See if it's
More like rubber.

Using black tint. Does not get air bubbles.

You don't want them too soft. There is an old post -- maybe 4 or 5 years ago -- by Owen_Dyneto where he was having issues with those same bushings. His issue was with some from Steele that did not last very long. He compared hardness of Steele's to a NOS factory bushing and found the factory bushing to be much harder. He published the results and way he measured using a method he was able to come up with. It was not really precise by usual methods and standards but did give a comparable result so he posted his findings. You might search and see if you can find his info. Maybe you could use his method to test your new bushings.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Rear axle..

Round ones go on top.

Rectangle ones are 55 type. Which are used for 56.

More surface area.
