I am curious what affect is any E-85 has on the valves in our old engines. Better or worse than unleaded as compared to leaded gas?

Bowman, an alcohol carb has 30% larger fuel orifices, otherwise the engine will run lean. I don't know if Kanter is offering alcohol carbs, my bet is that they're kitted to withstand the alcohol that's already in our fuel, which replaced MBTE or MTBE, whatever the oxygenator additive was that was poison.

Kev, I honestly think it isn't any better or worse compared to gasoline, but there won't be any carbon buildup on the valves and combustion chamber like gasoline will.

Keep in mind when it comes to E85, you have to change out all the rubber lines, and generally upgrade the fuel system. Do a LOT of research on it before you take the leap!!
