I've never used anything extra but I know there are some that swear adding zddp additives is beneficial because some modern oils don't have as much zinc and other wear inhibitors the older oils contained. I don't know if Lucas products fall in that category.
If you do a site search, there are several threads and as many opinions on various oils to use. Rotella is frequently recommended as a quality oil as is an oil sold by one of the clubs and formulated for older cars that still need the older additives. I think a good quality name brand proper weight oil meeting current specs should work fine as is but just my opinion.
