Missing LWB 21st Clipper sedans....!

Hi

Reading the long wheelbase section of Packard 1948 to 1950, the missing Clipper style occurred to me: A 21st Series 141" wb lwb Clipper sedans; the shorter front clip, 282 ci Clipper Deluxe engine and interior trim.

Guess the seven passenger model would have been 2111-2171, the limousine, 2111-2170. Surprising they weren't included, the livery business would have bought them up.

As far as I am aware the only long wheel base 21st series 7 passenger cars are he 148" 2126 Custom.

Correct, on the Custom Super Eight 148" chassis 2126. The body types are:

1650 and 1651 for 1946 production and 2150 and 2151 for 1947 production, the partition limousine and sedan respectively.

Hi

Hope this wasn't confusing for anyone, merely pointing out what was a possible model during the 21st Series.

Actually, it's surprising a lower-priced seven passenger wasn't included for those years as Packard had courted the pre-war livery market with various business/livery sedans such as the 138" wb 160 1804-2004. Perhaps Henney couldn't build enough volume to supply all the bodies needed for the Custom Super Eights plus a livery line.
