IM back......yes I just bought some new hood lacing for my 31-833 coupe, in my lack of understanding, I told them to send me the lacing and fasteners that would have been used originally, so now I have the lacing, some wire and several hooks threated on one end.
Can anyone point me to a tutorial or video on how to install this old style lacing?
Thanks to everyone and Happy New Years to everyone
Barry

Lay the lacing over the cowl and tape it down leaving open where the holes in the cowl are. Mark the lacing with chalk at the holes. Remove and place on bench then carefully cut with an Xacto knife the center of the lacing out where you have marked it.

Thread the wire through the lacing and through the hooks at the holes.

Sorry to be slow to get this, but I ordered enough materials for two 833 coupes since I have two that need this, I only have 6 hooks total.
I understand putting in place and marking and cutting, but still not sure how to weave the wire with the lacing.
Thanks for your help and any more input would be appreciated!
