I believe the hairpin, washer, and a felt washer goes on the accelerator pump shaft.

Looks like you got it right. Who is the hot carburetor re builder now that Classis does not rebuilt for the public anymore. Have a spare AAV 26 for my 1940. Can rebuild myself, but want someone that will make the outside sparkle, and it may need a small spring for the choke.
