This is a forum to share what I am doing to get my 1940 160 model 1362 Touring sedan back on the road. This will be a rolling restauration meaning I want to get the car running and then work on what needs to be done as I go. The goal for the car is to keep it as authentic and original as possible. The car itself is pretty much an unmolested original car but very weathered and worn. I have had the car 20 years but have not worked on it for the past 17 years. It has been stored in a dry place for the past 22 years. In this forum I plan on sharing pictures documenting the work and the car with the intent of being a resource to others who might be in a similar situation.

Note I moved this over to the blogs. See you there.

Hi Larry,

Welcome to Packard Info. Great site with tons of info and help available to you and for your car as you go through the process. Posting here is fine, but a lot of guys start their own project blogs and the entire restoration can be documented in sequence, in one place. Go to Packard Forums on the left menu and scroll down to Project Blogs and there you can initiate and name your own blog. Looks like you have a good, solid 'restoration candidate' in your 1940, and it seems the project has been 'initiating' for some time! LOL Glad to see you getting started and look forward to seeing the progress and sharing in the 'journey'. Should be a lot of fun to drive once you get it back on the road. Good Luck!! Chris
