I received the headliner and still cannot get the bows that came with the car to fit. Therefore, I'm looking at the possibility that the bows sent by the person from whom I bought the car just might be the wrong ones. Does anyone out there know where I might be able to obtain bows that actually came on this model of car?
I would go ahead and purchase them just to make sure I do have the ones that actually fit.
Thanks for any information you might be able to provide.

Hi. Does anyone know if the headliner bows have ends that allow the bows to screw into the wood or have tabs that are supposed to fit into recesses? I'm getting one bow from Max Merritt that is the far back one and it screws into its support. I'm wondering if the others do the same. If so, then the ones I currently have are definitely incorrect.
Thanks.

I did upholstery on collector cars for 35 years. Sometimes the rear bow will attach to a wood or metal piece with screws, but only in the middle of the bow. The other bows generally fit into a hole in the wood along the top edge of the roof. What holds them in place (front to back) is the piece sewn onto the headliner that the bows slide into.
