David - I’m curious…my car came along at the end of the 37 model year and has the “38” deluxe heater. Can you point me to the service bulletin that references these being installed on the 37s? My dad has always thought the heater was the original, but has had many tell him it wasn’t.

If it was a late 37, it could have sat on the lot and was later sold by a dealer who added the heater for a buyer and used a 38 heater. Wasn't uncommon for these to be dealer installed, as even all the way in 54, they were still optional accessories.

That makes sense. I know the 138CDs were added to the lineup later in the model year in 1937. Delivery date of mine is July 8th, 1937. I think the 38 model year started in early September.
