Finally; After owning this Car for twenty months, and a complete rewire. With two fire extinguishers and a hose ready. I put power to her, and no smoke, or sparks. I tested each system and all were working properly. I turned her over with no spark, or fuel until I had oil pressure. Then added spark and fuel, and off she went.

Thank you all for your help during my wiring project, Its been very educational.

23 series look'n good.
These 70 year olds need a fresh wire job if they're going to be anywhere near reliable. Question: did you use period appearing "cloth" wire or modern PVC jacket? There's a small gauge issue with some modern wire, is why I ask. Not as important if converted to 12VDC.
I had no choice, the southern mice like a good ration of wire insulation in their diet...

I chose PVC heavy Jacketed, tinned, Marine wire. I found a reasonable source out of Florida for it. I could get all the color codes and striped colors plus sizes I needed very reasonably. I can't say if it has had any effect on the the gauges because I only drove this car once before discovering the wiring issue. However they all seem to functioning fine.

When in doubt for sizing wire: Ohm's Law.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.
