I just listed the rebuild/reman’d auto lite generator and I probably over priced it at $250 but I have receipts from this summer of for $350 for the rebuilding of the generator and starter locally here in Portland, so I think I’m reasonable, especially after seeing what people are asking for those Willy 6V generators, mine’s just as good I’d say. Yeah, so “To 12V or not to 12V”, I’m been with that question too long. I didn’t want to ten years ago when I bought the car, but I’m planning on buying yet a third Packard soon (another 2dr ‘49) for dirt cheap and the reputable wrench who owns it now, see it was his customers car who passed away and he is 3/4 of the way to a 12V conversion. He only wants to be paid back for his labor and wiring and he’ll teach me how to finish it, I can’t say no. So if I’m doing that, and leaning towards a modern GM conversion which requires a 12V conversion for the starter, I might as well start off loading all the 6V stuff. But I’m still listening to all, Thanks Blake Attach file: 4F28A36E-6F79-4D35-9F45-E55CFA2B5E2F.jpeg (341.28 KB) 31E9808F-C3AB-485A-9ED6-650ECAAD455B.jpeg (256.76 KB)
