Okay, I understand now. I have two braces that the ends, the curved part, needs to be replaced. I'm going to go see if I can salvage a couple as that will be quicker than me trying to fab them from scratch.........this is not my area of expertise, nor do I have equipment. Mind you most everything I do on my car is outside of my area of expertise, but with enough time, swearing and research I get 'er done! LOL

Does Pete have any factory A/C '53s or '54s?

None of the cars in the boneyard have AC, but he might know someone, or have something squirreled away somewhere. What exactly are you looking for? Compressor?

I’m looking for the complete system other than the fender scoops and control panel. Especially I need the complete trunk unit as a pattern to have one made. I have the blueprints but they are nearly impossible to read!.

Last time I did any welding my car was only 50 years old!
