For front V8 windshields, all cars are the same dimensionally except Convertibles (which are shorter), but various shading options were used. See this thread for a list of the various types. Even more info can be found in the weatherstripping thread.
The rear windshields used are as follows. Clear, then Solex are listed. - 441783, 444771: 53-56 Clipper Sedan - 447740, 447821: 54-56 Hardtop, except 56 400 - 447741, 457231: 54-55 Patrician and Cavalier - 6478409, 6478471: 56 Patrician - 6478498, 6478437: 56 400 Windshields are generally easily identified by looking at the profiles of the corners and sides. Unlike the old days, a quick Google search will bring up a reference photo of the suspected car, and you can easily compare it. However, one will note that the 56 400 and Patrician rear windshields look very similar at the sides. Likewise for the 54-56 Hardtop (except 56 400) compared to the 54-55 Patrician. The difference lies in the rake of the glass. The hardtop glass has more of a rake (is more horizontal) than the Patrician glass. See the image below, which shows a 56 Patrician glass at right, with a 56 400 glass next to it. The center of the glass is only about 1 inch apart at the top, but a few inches at the base.
