The wheels that were on my '56 Patrician looked identical to this:

Click to see original Image in a new window

And they had the holes for the alignment pins, even though no pins were present IIRC.

Unmolested Spare that i know of since i bought 5672A1074 12 years ago with 34K miles and original documentation with car from original owner. It has no safety bead.
See pics. Norweigean Forest green.Gray paint in good condition on back side of wheel. Is gray paint what the yused at the factory??? I don't know. All 5 wheels that came with my car are NF green. 4 of the 5 have no safety bead. I did not bother to check the 5th wheel on the car only 3 that are on the car and the spare make 4.
See pics:
56 uses lug NUTS not bolts.

That's a US Royal wide white on the wheel. I really doubt that it's repop tyre at all.

NOTE: Anyone checking their cars need to check all 5ive wheels and not just one. It is possible that hte wheel CENTER was used across many other wheels for many other cars and picups maybe well into 1980's.

I have 2 wheels here that i labeled L'Burg 5660. I got them 5 or 6 years ago from Dave327 who used to post here. Same locating pin holes as my green wheel posted above. Even with one locating hole that has the little extra notch in it. ONE of the wheels has safety bead the other does not.
Both wheels seem identicle in offsett and other visual features.

I went out and checked more wheels!! NON-Packard wheels. I found a 14" chevy wheel that i know i've had since 1985 or earlier. It has a safety bead on the wheel cover side only. NO such safety bead on the drum side at all. The safety bead on the wheel cover side is in the rite place but seems ever so slightly more squareish than the more rounded safety beads on all of the other more modern wheels i have piled up here.

All of the unmolested original wheels that I've inspected were painted on the outward facing side only. Rims from local Packards were pretty rusty on the back/inside. The rims on my Carib H/T, which spent most of its year in AZ, confirmed what I found on one of my Pats, which came form WV and was originally delivered to southern OH - that the back (inside) of the rims were left in prime by the factory.

I suspect one of the previous owners of your Exec painted the back of the rim(s) in gray to stop/prevent rust.

My original wheels are also only painted on the face side. The back side is grey, probably a primer.

Yes, my 56 Executive spare that appears to have never been on the ground is Norweigen Forset green on the front and grey on the Back side. The grey looks more like grey paint to me but i'll look closer today to see if it is primer or not. There is no evidence that the NF green is anything other than factory paint. It has NO safety bead.
