Transmission rebuild

So, I'm planning on rebuilding my transmission while my car is all torn apart. ('37 115c) I was wondering if anyone had any tips. Should just be pull the shafts, clean, and replace bearings, right? Any trouble prone areas?
I have the Kanter kit. Didn't notice any problems when I drove it a few blocks, but the kit was reasonable and it was coming out either way.

The floor shift trans and the later 39-54 column shift trans are for rebuilding purposes identical. There is no shaft roundness to check, nothing wears that way, there are no gear tolerances given to measure. There is no front seal.
Use a 48-50 or 51-4 service manual, detailed photos and instructions Front bearing is often worn, rear less so. Rear seal only. Needle roller bearings on countershaft and caged roller brg inside input shaft, usually OK.
