Can anyone give me some advice on removing these lock cylinders from the door handle and trunk handle. I am having the handles re-chromed. I have been to a couple of locksmiths, one who claims to specialize in vintage car locks. Neither shop could get them out. I am currently soaking them in liquid wrench hoping it might free something up. I am using the key along with a stiff wire in the separate hole turning the key while inserting the wire to no avail. If there is a trick to this I would sure appreciate any help. Thanks,

The discussion and procedure for a 40 came up previously and Dave (Owen_Dyneto) posted a link to some instructions on the PAC site for prewar locks.
