To Howard:

It mounts in the original position, replacing the Treadle Vac on the removable plate.I chose the master cylinder with the outlets on the passenger side, at Waterman's suggestion. I'll take pictures when it comes.

I was going to go the fire wall route. But I have too much conjestion there. With the hydraulic pump (for the windows). Wiring Harness and regulator. I wasn't sure it would fit.

Further more, that way was too much modification for me. I want to keep the original ductwork.

Thanks in advance for keeping us informed. A drop in "kit" that doesn't change the interior look and geometry much is sorely needed and I hope their pedal assy will do just that. Just can't envision in that location how it works though until I see the pictures.

Howard, I'm glad you questioned the pedal kit, thanks!! It got me thinking, so I called MPB and spoke to Steve. It seems their installation was under the car. With the pedal going through the floor, like the manual brake setup. And a rod going back to the Master Cylinder, mounted under the car.

I don't want to do it that way. I want to follow the Panther Project. So I cancelled the pedal kit.

Sorry, I won't have anything new to report here. I'll be doing it the tried and verified way.

Warren

Eric54.
Not clear to me why u do not want to use the MPB pedal kit. If it's less than $125 i would most likely use it but i'm not real familiar with 54 enuf to pass any judgenment.

That's what I was afraid of. I think that was the route that possible Electroboost install on the east coast was going to do. If the vacuum setup fits under floor I am really surprised. At any rate, finally gave up looking for anything already made for my 56.

Factory AC won't give me space on the firewall and not too excited with the pedal mods needed by the other method so did my own. Not a drop in and maybe not for the faint of heart without good tools or shop. Haven't driven it yet but it feels and looks good. If it works like I think it will, at least it looks somewhat normal. New carpet should be shipped this month so hopefully not too much longer before it's back together and gets tested.
