Records of 1940-47 sanctioned top speed runs?

See the thread begun by Packard47 "Powerful 1946-47 Super/Custom Super Clippers" on the Postwar (1946-54) Forum.
It occurs that some of you with immediate prewar Packard interest might not othewise see this overlapping "quest for speed."

So, we'd love to see any verified, sanctioned (AAA, etc.) top speeds of stock 1940-47 Buicks and Packards in the day.
