1939 Super 8 engine help please

Hello all:
As many of you know I've recently brought home the 39 Super 8 I bought that was in pieces. I have to confess that I have never been under the hood of a 39 Super 9 before but, after doing a lot of reading I think I am either misreading or missing something (actually more than some thing). It was late afternoon after an all day drive when I picked it up so I didn't do any kind of inventory at the time and would not have known what some of the parts were anyway.
I have discovered that there is no water pump not can I find the clutch assembly (as I remember them to be from 40 years ago anyway). There are also several body pieces missing.
So, here are a couple of questions to begin.

First, I understand this to be a front mount engine and the included picture of the engine justifies that I think. The picture of the frame between the front wheels shows what appears to be two side engine mounts. Help?

Second , I've included a picture of the rear of the engine. This plate is behind the flywheel but bears no resemblance to any clutch piece I remember. The teeth of the flywheel are about 3/4 to an inch inside this plate. Is all of this part of the flywheel?

Thanks for any help with this. Also, does any one have a clutch assembly/plate and water pump?

Gene

I have a couple of additional issues to discuss.

First, am I correct in guessing that the panels in the picture below are the inner fenders for the front?

Second, does the transmission piece shown appear to be an overdrive unit as I am guessing it is.

By the way, does anyone have:
the front fender supports for a 39 Super 8? I'm talking about the curved pieces that attach to the radiator and the headlights attach to them through the front fenders.
or a dash for this car (see the picture for the reason). All 3 sections of the dash are cracked.

Thanks again,

Gene

I can supply a waterpump, unique to the 39Super8. Price is $350.

Well, HH56, first, thanks for sending me that link!

Second, after I picked myself off the floor at those prices I still noticed that these are not original but "close to original". I hope to find an original used dash someplace but if I have to have something functional rather than original I think I can carve a nice cherry or birds-eye maple dash and enjoy myself in the wood shop and save some money too.

Not a bad idea. There were some fairly recent TV shows on building fine cars. If RR and Bentley can advertise that they will "honor your request to harvest a favored tree from your estate and through utmost craftsmanship and care, turn it into an exquisite example of perfection to complement your motorcar" I don't see why you couldn't do it for your Packard.

Howard,
Thanks for the encouragement. My father-in-law has about 800 acres in TN with much of it woodland. I'm sure I can get them to find me an old birds-eye maple that has fallen down or lost large limbs in recent years. The finish from that wood is a darker honey color and should match nicely with the rest of the interior. In fact, I can closely match the color of the original with that particular wood. All I need is about a 2"X12"X8' piece to section and work with.

Thanks again for getting me started thinking in this direction (but I'll still be on the lookout for an original just to have "in case").

Here's some photos of the 47 mount we discussed. From the initial look and bolt locations on frame for mounts comparing to yours, shape will probably be similar but think the 39 may be narrower. Will leave that answer to the prewar guys.
