My friend has said car which he restored in 81 the car in a scale of 1 -10 Is a 8. It has a 289 super charged motor with 39,000 miles , he is thinking of putting it up for sale . What do you think it is worth?

Restored means many things to many people from factory correct to just a fast paint job. Details are the difference. Pictures are big help. What a person is willing to pay sets the real price. A fact of old car hobby is you wind up putting more in than you get out the enjuyment cost money

Re: value, NADA ranges anywhere from $5K to $17K (the high end would be for a near perfect 100 point show car). I've found ebay to be a pretty accurate current gauge of what people are willing to actually pay for any given car. You might try searching completed sales, though that model doesn't appear too often.
