Thanks for the concern but no worries for me. I'm down low surrounded by concrete, asphalt and lawns. We've had a few small vacant lot grass fires but the big ones you are hearing about currently are in the mountains and a long way off. I share your concern for anyone living in that area.

Those fires look really bad on the news.

Hope you get some rain to help put them out.

We need rain to fill up our lakes. We are in drought conditions here. We already have water restrictions. Could be a long HOT summer here.

I hear CARB and EPA are going to ban such wildfires.

You'll be okay then.

Note: California Air Resources Board

I wish. No, they won't ban the fires but will hit the Central Valley again for failing to meet clean air particulate matter standards because of all the smoke.

We get hit every year with fines and many no burn days because all the Bay Area and LA basin pollutants blow thru the passes into the central valley and then get trapped & can't blow on out. Our numbers are off the charts so we get the fines and the other areas get the kudos for cleaning up their districts.

Hmmm... Let's see.

Circulate a petition to fine the trees for catching fire and then if they don't pay cut them down. Also, issue a warrant for the arrest of Mother Nature for violation of the Clean Air Act.

Maybe petition a proposition for the ballot threatening to arrest any tree that catches fire.
