Did Packard sell many colored cars between the waRS?

As I write this, the "Random Photo" is actually an ad for 1936 featuring a solid red 7 passenger sedan. Looks cool.

Seems like when I have seen ads from that general era, many showed the cars in color.

What do we know about what percentages of sales were non black (and non Packard Blue)? Are there any stats? The mental image I have of the era is that cars were usually Black or dark and that anything else was flashy and un-Packardlike. Or am I reacting to B&W photos, which wewre the norm in print for that time?

I'm not aware of any statistics but it's often said that, once a large variety of pigments became available, colors followed the economics of the era; that is, during the depression and the recession later again in 1938, colors tended to be darker and more somber. Conversely times of economic prosperity resulted in more brighter colors. Also of course the more formal body styles tended to be darker and sporty models brighter.

With all the cars in the registry here, why don't you do a little research and produce some statistics? I'm sure many would find it interesting.
