The distributor on my 39 120 is a Delco Remy type, and probably needs overhauling. I have a spare distbutor off on a spare 288 engine, H261200 (1949) that looks the same as the 39 except for a slight configuration difference on the vacuum advance mechanism. The spare DR unit's model number is 1110811 9K20. Anyone know if this one will work in my 39? If it will, I'll send it off to be tuned up. Never hurts to have a spare.
