Does any one have a picture of the inside of a 37 115c trunk layout? ie tire, tire holder, tools

In the literature and manuals section of this website, click on the 1937 "Of a Distinguished Family" sales brochure. On Page 9 there is a depiction of the Six and One Twenty trunk. You'll see the tire is horizontal on the trunk floor, retained by a rather large clamp that anchors to the floor. The bottle-type jack and tools are not shown, but the tools were in a canvas tool roll. The jack, folding jack handle and the tool roll were stored on either side of the tire. Above the tire was a wooden shelf for luggage.

Ken, I think the convertible coupes are the same as Don described except for the wooden shelf above the tire. The tire fits under the lower portion of the rumble seat and there is not enough room for a shelf. At least mine does not have one. Tool and jack storage are like Don describes. I have the bags for them too. I'll get some photos of mine next time I am out in the garage.

Thanks JW, for clarifying that. Of course, I was thinking the 115c in question would be a closed car. Congratulations, Ken on snagging one of those much rarer open 115c's.

Ken, you will see a good photo of the trunk of a 115C convertible coupe on the AACA site. After arriving there go to the For Sale forum and you will see the ad for the car. It looks to be mostly original and may be a good source for how things were done originally.

It was my fathers, Norman Jaeger, I was 8 years old when we went and picked it up, in 1968, my father has since passed and it is now mine. Still in the family
