My sister-in-law was on vacation in the southwest, and sent my wife and I this postcard. To my surprise it's a packard! Looks like a 52 senior car to me.

I love anything to do with the old Route 66. Growing up hearing the Nat King Cole hit "Get Your Kicks on Route 66," I made it a point as an adult to visit all the place mentioned in the song.

I would love to have driven Route 66 in its hey-day, especially in a Packard.

as always

We moved to Calif. in 1953 and drove out in my parents 1952 250 hardtop. We did take route 66 and visited several sites on the way. Pic taken a few years later.

My packards still do former Rt 66 stretches, it's less than 2 miles away (from whatever is left).
