Not near my car right now, but you can measure - it's as long as the engine, so if you have that much space then maybe.

I would think you can, I removed the tube on my '54 with the grille in place though as I remember I had to shift the engine a an inch or so one way or the other on the mounts in order for it to clear the grille opening.

Thanks Owen. I didn't see any mention of removing the grill, only the water pump and radiator.
