Hi, John,

What is your objective in not using a 1940 110 wheel?

You may find another brand's wheel will fit, but then you need to remove, position and remount the hubcap clips, or buy (not cheap) new ones, position and rivet them.

I would think a used 110 wheel would be readily available. I bought one by mistake on eBay complete with hubcap and gave it to a friend who is doing a cool rust-o-ration, like on American Pickers, so the rough hubcap wasn't an issue. I see they might be going for around $100 on eBay. I paid $35 for one 10 years ago. I would check with the flackmaster

Since you're in Georgia, check with a East Coast supplier like Kanter.

16" wheels on Packards have numerous bolt patterns. Super 8 37-38 are 5 1/2", 120 35-40 ARE 5", Six 37-39 are also 5" and Six 40 are 4 1/2" which is your car. The 4 1/2" bolt pattern is common to most Ford/Merc 40 up and most Chrysler products 49-up.

Some station wagons and all limousines have larger bolt patterns.

4 1/2" is also used on Clippers 54-55 with 11" brakes

Thanks
