The speedometer on my 1104 apparently seized up while driving recently, and I will need to remove and send for repair. Before I start the task of removal, I was curious if anyone has experience or suggestions on removal techniques, first, before crawling under the dash and removal by trial and error.

I don't recall the details, did mine years ago. But one look under the dash at the rear of the unit and it should be immediately obvious and very direct and basic.
