John - don't be afraid to put a pair of 700-16's on. The additional diameter is good for a couple mph too.

Yeah, that one....can park in my garage anytime. I don't know if this car still exists - I'd like to know, and like to own it.

I found the car curious as well, but I am no expert on Senior cars. The good news is Rudy Creteur (probably spelled incorrectly) still maintains the records at Rollston and has researched many cars in the past, so me thinks the truth is available.

An outside visor was not a Factory accessory. The outside visors seemed to be most popular beginning around 41 or so, very popular with the customizing crowd. It'd be a good bet that they are reproduced for, say, a 47 chevy so I suggest you begin your search with the repro/hotrod supply sites.

Inside visors not reproduced. Usually survive well enough from parts cars to be restorable, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a pair. Try Joel Ray, John Ulrich, David Moe or Sandy Chirco.

I'll meetcha halfway Dave....yes, you are correct, both were 16" wheels beginning in 37, the V-12 being wider, but I still get credit for the 5 bolt vs. 6 bolt distinction. Parts book page 245, 338811.

I'm no expert, but from 50 ft away, the V-12's had 6 bolt 17" wheels/drums whereas the Super8's definitely had 16" 5 bolt wheels/drums. Many, many other chassis differences, but I would think the wheels would be a dead giveaway. Post a picture, and I guarantee you will get a definitive answer here.
