bkazmer knows how it works. You could add, that Packard Blue is a perfect background for cherry-red and yellow clothes, handbags and shoes. It is the color of the season in Italy and Spain.

You've said 1951? Did you do it because that song subconsciously reminds you of your love?

Older? You? I don't think so. It is the price for woolgathering.

... I'm wondering what year that Zill 111 is. Note what resembles a pair of rectangular headlites inset to the grill. That would be ca. 1975 or later for US. Not sure about Russian introduction of rectangular headlites.

The car or the few that has remained has been built between 1959 - 1961. The rectangular headlights look like borrowed from a Moskvich 412.

Have I mentioned the asking price for the ZIL? Only $259,200 (180.000 EUR). Believe it or don't believe it but the buyer would make a snatch. Three years ago, when this offer started its world tour the minimum bidding price was $352,800 (245.000 EUR). I hope you don't think it is a quibble to mention in passing that it comes without engine...
I know you in your hearts hate serious offers as well as I hate incomplete offers. So how about an almost new food processor?

Yes, it looks like that and has nothing to do with a Zil but rather with a self propelled beet harvester.

Rusty, it perhaps based on a misunderstanding. In Germany we have such exceptions too. Many thousand old cars drive on our roads.
Instead of claryfing all open questions beforehand Alex acted youthful optimistic and just imported his car. Ok, now he is looking for the best way to register it.
Germany has specific regulations just like every other nation.
