I understand your clarification method. It's actually good you're correcting me because I can then learn all the more, so thank you! I think I did state, though, that the Super Deluxe Eight has the egg-crate style grille, yes? All Customs had it, as well. The LWB Super Deluxes carried the bar grille, though.

Yes, indeed! This was true for pre-1948 vehicles, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not quite as knowledgeable on anything pre-22nd series.

Sorry about that! The Super Eight did not carry the egg-crate, yet the other three models did. The Super Deluxe Eight, the Custom Eight, and the Super Deluxe Eight Victoria Convertible. This info is based on the advertisement pictures in the Model Info section (23rd Series).

The two-tone paint scheme was offered as an option in the 22nd series, but was taken away for the 23rd series. If your car was originally black, the paint code should be X. You can find this on the build sheet and the plate located on the driver's side firewall.

Tommycourt, your car is a Deluxe Eight. The Deluxe did not have the egg-crate style grille, it had the bar style. The Custom Eight, Super Eight Victoria, and Super Eights had the egg-crate grille. The Stamdard Eight, Deluxe Eight, and Super Deluxe Eight had the bar style grille. Behind the dash you can find more info on your car, on top of the back of the glovebox there is a slip of paper. Be very catious and careful with it, as it is very fragile and thin. This document states all of the optional equipment on your car, as well as the paint code, and the trim code. When you find it, post the info here and we'll all see if we can de-code it. I'm very excited to see the codes myself!

Alright, everybody, I turned over my front seat frame and found a code on the carpeting on it. The code is, I believe, 62-FR-010, or 62-FR-D10, one of the two. Someone please clarify and, if possible, tell me what sort of carpeting I need throughout the whole car. Did Packard ever offer a material for the trunk floor, either? Thanks, everyone!

By 2365-5 it indicates that you own a 1950 Deluxe Eight Club Sedan. 5924 tells us that this was the 3,623rd car that came off of the line for that model, I believe.
