Sorry. Just can't get turned on by pregnant roller skates.

Now a nash mini metro, that's the ticket.

No, just a basic Cooper. No auto AC, no cruise control, no sun roof, no multi-color, no fancy sound system. It does have the sport seats and Xeon headlights. We drove it from Austin to Pebble Beach and Santa Fe in 2008. It was a surprisingly comfortable road car. Plenty of room in the front and all the room we wanted for luggage in the back (the beauty of a hatchback).3,000 RPMs = 75 MPH. Got over 42 mpg on two legs of the trip. What's not to like? I like the Nash Metros too.

I used the wrap type on the exhaust pipe of my 1939 Cadillac Sixty Special. I got it from a performance parts store. McVey's has good stuff but he gets a good price for it too. I recommend you shop around. It is easy to install, just wrap the pipe and secure with stainless steel clamps. I seemed to help keep heat out of the engine compartment.

Abominable MINI Cooper??? My 2008 has been a GREAT car. So there! You have offended my daily driver. I challenge you to a dual, grease guns at ten paces!

One of my favorite films. It would still hold that rank even without the Packard.

Black is not black. There is green black, blue black, brown black.

Edit: Plus there is gloss, semi-gloss, satin, and flat. There is black with and without metallic. It just goes on and on.

Re: Repacking Rear Axle Bearings

JWL
Why not replace the bearing now that you have the unit disassembled? Seems like an inexpensive and easy job at this time. Why wait for them to fail at sometime in the future when it may be most inconvenient? Do it now and have the peace of mind that one more potential problem has been addressed. If it was may car I would do it now.

Kevin, the NAPA electric fuel pump Clipper47 refers to may be a Carter. I bought one from them for a 39 Cadillac 60 Special I had a few years ago. Good stuff, but expensive.

David, were these photos taken shortly after the Big Snow in Big D? My brother lives in Anna, about 45 miles NE of Dallas. He complained about all the snow shoveling he had to do. I said to him that I was shocked, unbelieving, and mystified - that he owned a snow shovel. See you in Salado, unless it snows.

Re: 1956 Clipper
Home away from home
Home away from home

JWL
I don't have any data to back up the following, but I believe that a standard suspension transmission Clipper is more rare than a standard transmission suspension car. My experience in my search is all the standard suspension Clippers I have found (3) have had the TU transmission. The Boston Clipper is the first 56 I have looked at and the first Clipper with PBs.

Correction edit.
